I've been making clothespin tacks for my cork-board for quite some time, but today I decided to use some of the collage (mixed-media) skills I've learned recently to make a few new clothespin tacks.
(Materials: wood clothespin, decorative paper, metal thumb tacks, embellishments & ribbons, spray adhesive, E-6000, distress ink pad)
Trace the outline of the clothespin and cut out.
Distress the clothespin with distress ink (I use a makeup sponge to apply)
Spray adhesive onto the clothespin and lay the decorative paper on top and press down. Let dry.
Use pastel crayon or watercolor crayon along the edge.
Add ribbons or fibers.
Add any other embellishments you want to finish the look.
Apply E6000 to the back of the tack and press against the back of the clothespin and let dry.
