Hip Chicks Cook Too! Granola Recipe

Although this site was intended for crafts only, I've decided to start including fun recipes. After all, us Hip Chicks can cook too!! Right??

Today's recipe is for healthy granola. It's my hubby's granola recipe. It's so YUMMY! I love it over yogurt or ice cream. Hubby eats with milk and the kids just eat plain.

Recipe~

2 Cups of Oats
1/2 Cup of Sliver Almonds (or Chopped Walnuts)
1 tsp Cinnamon (add more for taste up to 1 tablespoon)
1/2 tsp nutmeg (add more for taste up to 1/2 tablespoon)
1/4 Cup of Canola Oil
1 tsp of vanilla
1/4 Cup of Honey

(you can taste the granola before putting it in the oven to see if you need to add more cinnamon or nutmeg)

Place in the center of a cookie sheet and spread out (like a big pancake)

Cook at 275 for 17-20 min

Let it stand for about 20 min, place in a bowl and add dried fruit.

1/2 cup of dried blueberries
or
1/2 cup of cranberries
or
1/2 cup of golden raisins

Add as much dried fruit as you like, or a combination of dried fruit.
